4 Ingredient Pressure Cooker Meals

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Today I have several 4 ingredient pressure cooker meals that are easy to make, any day of the week. I know how busy families are today and the easier we can make meals to prepare at home, the healthier we will be.

I use my pressure cooker to make quinoa or rice on Sunday or Monday which will last Mark and me a few days. All we have to do is heat up the rice or quinoa to serve with some of the main meals listed below.

I think most of these ingredients we all have in our pantry or refrigerator. If you buy your pork, chicken breasts, chicken tenderloins, or beef on sale and freeze it, you are one step ahead of the game.

Clearance On Meat

I’m sure I have mentioned to you before I do not eat meat, but Mark does, so I shop in the clearance area at some of the local grocery stores.  I look for the meat that’s priced very low and freeze it.

If you make a menu for the week, that really helps because then you don’t have to think about “what’s for dinner?” I try to make a double batch of whatever I’m making because then I can store 1/2 of the recipe in a freezer container for another day.

Thank goodness, Mark is easy to cook for, the only thing he really doesn’t care for is squash, so I eat his share! It’s easy to make 4 ingredient meals because they take less time to make and dinner is ready in no time.

Fagor Pressure Cooker

Did I tell you I love my pressure cooker? I have both the Instant Pot and the Fagor. I prefer the Fagor over the Instant Pot, but either one will work. The times listed are for my Fagor pressure cooker.

Instant Pot

If you are using your Instant Pot, check for times that are applicable to the kinds of meat stated below in each recipe.

Please note, I purchased both pressure cookers so I could compare one against the other. Fagor 670040230 Stainless-Steel 3-in-1 6-Quart Multi-Cooker They are both great pressure cookers, but I’m partial to my Fagor. You could even put these ingredients together and then freeze any of them for later. I hope you like these recipes as much as our family does.

  1. Thank you for the great work you do! I got my instant pot two months ago. Since then it has been kept quite busy with my family of 10. Usually I find that if I can imagine something, all I have to do is Google and it is there. However, I was hoping to find Instant Pot food storage recipes. These would be recipes that build on ingredients primarily found in food storage. My wife and I have been serving at the Sandy Bishop’s Storehouse in the Home Storage department for 6 years. It is a place where you can get basic food storage dry pack items such as Wheat, Beans, Pasta, Oats, and Rice. I distribute recipes and such via my website seniorfamily.org which although useful, is a midget compared to your site! Anyway, if I could find such a thing I would include it in my distribution. I think it would be very handy to have for people who like to live on bulk storage items.

Thanks again for what you do!

    1. Hi Dennis, thank you for your kind words. I’ve been using a Fagor pressure cooker your almost ten years. I have two 6-quart Fagors and two Instant Pot pressure cookers. One is the 6-quart and on is the small 3-1/2 quart (designed for small families). I’m working on posts using the Instant Pot 6-quart over the next month or so. Thanks for telling me about your website, I will go check it out. Stay tuned for recipes, I will try and work on the ones you suggest. Thank you! Linda
