15 Reasons To Store Baby Wipes
Here are 15 reasons to store baby wipes in your emergency stash and for everyday. This is just fifteen…we can use these for so many things. It’s all about preparedness. You have probably seen on the boxes like this one I purchased at Costco that there is an expiration date. Here’s the deal….even if they dry out they would still be good for toilet paper. Please do not worry if they dry out. They are easier to store than toilet paper!
Here 900 sheets of unscented ultra soft cloths…….oh my gosh I can store 4 boxes of these and they hardly take up any room! Here are a minimum of 15 reasons to store baby wipes:
1. wipe private areas, adults or babies
2. can be used for spot bathing
3. washing hands
4. wiping tables or counters before using them to cut up food
5. cleaning wounds
6. covering open wounds if no other bandage is available
7. soothe your rough skin
8. remove makeup (cheaper than makeup remover)
9. clean you computer keyboard
10. wipe down door knobs, phones and light switches
11. if removed when wet from container-use on brow to cool you down if only for a few minutes
12. clean up spills in the car or tents
13. cool your skin if sunburned
14. use them to wipe down your emergency toilet (seat only)
15. wash dishes…..some baby wipes are thicker than others and can be re-used
As I remember I paid about $20.00 for this box. This makes them approximately $.02 each…..sometimes we need to have some disposable items…this is one of them!
If the baby wipes do dry out, as a pack did in my car, can’t you just add a little water or hand cleaner to rehydrate???
Hi Olivia, yes that is what I am planning on doing with them! This is why I think they are an excellent storage item! Linda
They certainly do take up less space than toilet paper. Will be hitting the dollar stores tomorrow to stock up.
Olivia, the dollar store is a great idea! Linda
Hi Olivia,
I use the Kirkland brand flushable wipes all the time and if a pack gets dried out I do just add a little water to it.
Hi Robin, I love the Kirkland Brand. Glad to hear to just add water to them…I do too! Great storage item!Linda
These are great to have on hand. When we had a power outage, I used them to freshen up and wiping hands. They were so much nicer to use on hands than Clorox wipes.
Hi Andi, good point about the clorox wipes…yes these would be less drying on our face and hands. Linda
