Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cream the pumpkin, sugar, oil, and the egg. In a separate mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Dissolve the baking soda in the milk. Add all three mixtures together, then stir in the vanilla until mixed thoroughly. Fold in the chocolate chips and pecans. Spoon the batter onto a greased cookie sheet, (about 1 tablespoon scoop). Bake for about 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
