Ingredients
  • 2 Cups Raisins, cook the raisins in 2/3 cup of water for 2 minutes, and save 1/3 cup of the raisin water.
  • 2/3 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup Butter, softened
  • 1 Cup White Granulated Sugar or (1/2 cup brown and 1/2 cup white sugar)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/3 Teaspoon Cloves
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 3 Cups Oatmeal
  • 2 Cups Flour
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F = (176°C). Grease your cookie sheets or use parchment paper.

  2. Cook the raisins in 2/3 cup of water for 2 minutes, and save 1/3 cup of the raisin water. Set the cooked raisins and 1/3 cup liquid aside.

  3. Cream the butter, sugar, and eggs until smooth and fluffy.

  4. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix thoroughly.

  5. Slowly add the oatmeal, flour, and then add the raisins and the 1/3 cup of raisin liquid.

  6. Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, depending on the size of the cookie scoop you use.
