Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons SAF Instant Yeast
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons dill seed
  • 1 tablespoon salad oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2-1/2-3 cups bread flour
Instructions
  1. Warm the cottage cheese and set aside. Combine the ingredients in order into a medium mixing bowl or strong mixer. Add the cottage cheese and mix until thoroughly combined. Add more flour as needed. The dough is slightly sticky. Knead the dough and put into a greased 9-inch cake pan. Cover and let rise until double with a wet washrag or greased plastic wrap. Approximately one hour. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Brush the top after baking with a little butter and sprinkle with onion salt.
