My Sister's Pretzel Salad

Instructions
  1. 1st layer: Melt 3/4 cup butter in a 9 by 13-inch pan
  2. Mix:
  3. 2 cups crushed pretzels with 2 tablespoons sugar
  4. Sprinkle the pretzels/sugar on the pan with the melted butter.
  5. Bake @425 degrees for 5 minutes
  6. 2nd layer:
  7. Mix:
  8. 8-ounce cream cheese softened
  9. 1 cup sugar
  10. 1 small can crushed pineapple (drained)
  11. 1-9 ounce Cool Whip, pour this mixture onto pretzel crust
  12. 3rd layer:
  13. Dissolve jello and combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl
  14. 6-ounce pkg. strawberry jello
  15. 1 cup boiling water, dissolve jello
  16. 1 cup cold water
  17. 2 packages of frozen strawberries-partially defrosted
  18. Pour onto the second layer. Put the pan in the refrigerator to set the salad.
