This is my easy go-to dessert:

Ingredients
  • 1 Can Sliced Peaches drained (reserve ¼ C juice)
  • C Sugar (divided)
  • 1 C Flour
  • 2 t Baking powder
  • 1 C Milk
  • ½ C Butter
Instructions
  1. Heat peaches and ¼ C juice just to boiling.
  2. Melt butter and pour into 13”x9” baking pan.
  3. Mix flour, 1 C sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk. Pour over melted butter. Spoon peaches and juice over top, distributing evenly. Sprinkle with ¼ C sugar.
  4. Bake at 400° about 25-30 minutes.

It’s one of those quick but delicious things – and you don’t even have to use your mixer. A whisk works perfectly!
