The 4th of July has always been a special holiday for our family. Not only because of family gatherings, great food offerings, including delicious desserts, and the exciting fireworks at the end of the day. We would discuss what a joy and blessing it is to live in this beautiful country with all the bounties of life. We also feel grateful for the Founding Fathers and the sacrifices they and their families endured to make sure generations of families like ours enjoyed freedoms not found anywhere else in the world.

We also are so grateful for those who have served our country as guardians of that freedom, many leaving their cherished families for months at a time to fight oppression and dictatorships, and for the opportunity to worship as a birthright we all deserve. We honor our veterans and what they have done for all of us to preserve the freedoms we all enjoy. We also need to honor their families who supported them in their absence.
