Try It Tuesday!

Kendra and I want to you show all of  our readers several food items you can cook in the Sun Oven.  Today I mixed up a batch of Honeyville Poppyseed Muffin Mix.  Yes, just add an egg and some water, stir slightly, grease the muffin pans and put in the Sun Oven in a  few minutes when the Sun Oven “heats up” which is pretty FAST!  Be sure and use hot pads or those high heat gloves to open and close the Sun Oven. The muffin pan I used  is 9 1/2″ by 12.75″ approx. It is a little tight (fit) but it works!

The recipe called for a 400 degree oven….I decided to put them in the Sun Oven when it reached 250 degrees….you should know me by now….I have to try stuff differently!!  Nope, I didn’t wait until it reached 400 degrees.  The reason I wanted to try a lower temperature is because I want to see what I can cook at a lower temperature in case we have a cloudy day or an ash eruption….or whatever may come our way.

They turned out great and they cooked at 250 to 325 degrees for 20 mins.  They taste delicious and so moist!

Don’t forget you have until the 25th to get the Sun Oven plus accessories package for $95 dollars off. Total price $269.00 FREE SHIPPING!!  Go here to order and enter promo code “FOODUT”
