This giveaway is now closed! Thanks to Instafire for the Giveaway and for all of you who entered!

The winner is…

Have you heard of Instafire.  It’s a great product and a must have for camping, winter recreation and especially for emergency preparedness.

Here are 7 reasons why you should buy this stuff.

  1. It’s shelf life is 30 years
  2. You can take it anywhere.  Each pouch only weighs 1.8 oz
  3. It lights and burns in Wind, Rain, Snow and Sleet.
  4. It’s environmentally safe with no harmful chemicals or vapor.
  5. It’s safe to store near food (so in your food storage room.)
  6. Burns wet firewood-at almost 1000 degrees, Instafire quickly dries out wet wood.
  7. Lights in less than a second.

I have demonstrated how to use InstaFire several times at various cooking classes.  This stuff works great.  I personally purchased two 5 gallon round buckets. I switched out the lids to use a Gamma Lid. Well, Instafire has now changed the design to a square bucket. Peter N. at Instafire explained to me that the square buckets stack easier than round buckets. This totally makes sense to me. The square containers would fit closer to a wall and take up less space as well. Awesome idea! I also purchased a box of the paper individual packets to use for my 72 hour kits/bug out bags. These are great for camping as well.

They sell buckets, individual paper packets and individual mylar packets in a box. Great products to fit everyone’s budget. You could buy a box and split it with a family member, neighbor, or friend.  Let’s get prepared together!

Peter N. from Instafire has offered to giveaway a Two Gallon Bucket of Instafire to one of our readers as a Giveaway!  So go enter!!

Not sure…It’s just what Random.org said when I copied the picture! I thought it was kind of weird. Maybe they just have it like that in-case the bloggers are giving away more than one of the same prize!
