I was at a friend’s home and she and her husband were telling me about some PermaPak food storage they brought down from Salt Lake City. Kathleen had a Mylar bag with popcorn in it. She said it was about 20 years old. She asked me if I wanted to try it. Of course I did. She got out a fairly heavy (not too heavy) sauce pan with a glass top. She poured a little oil in the pan, then the popcorn. We waited and waited and then….Pop! They started to pop like crazy. The smell of popcorn filled the kitchen! She sprinkled the popcorn with salt and filled four bowls with delicious hot popcorn!
