Cinnamon Caramel Dip

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Do you have a favorite cinnamon caramel dip you use with apple slices? It’s that time of year when the apples start getting picked, so I thought there’s no better time to update this post so all my readers can give this recipe a try! One of my all-time favorite apples is the Jazz Apple. It really is funny because in Utah we have the Utah Jazz Basketball Team! No relation between the two. lol

This cinnamon caramel dip is fabulous with any sliced apple! My daughter, Stacie, made this apple dip for me when she came to visit the last time. Yep, I was in love with the recipe! Of course, I always have to modify any recipe to suit my flavor fancy.

What I love about this recipe is the fact that we usually always have the stuff shown on the ingredient list in the refrigerator or pantry. You can use fresh or freeze-dried cream cheese, brown sugar, and vanilla. I added one more ingredient, cinnamon. With all the holiday parties on the horizon, this is a wonderful dip to share with family, friends, and party guests.

I love the taste of cinnamon with cream cheese and brown sugar, it tastes like caramel to me! I love caramels, and this dip really hits the spot when I crave a sweet dip and a tart apple, what a special combination!

I know we’ve all heard the slogan: “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” You know when you bite into that crisp apple and it’s crunchy and not mushy, you’ve scored the best apple ever!

I bet you can picture a big bowl of apples on your grandma’s kitchen table with the leaves and twigs still hooked to those freshly picked beauties. I’m picturing a red and white checkered tablecloth spread out with glasses filled with lemonade on a hot sunny day.

An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away

The best way to choose apples to eat and for apple recipes is the topic of the day. Have you walked around the produce aisle at the grocery store lately? There are so many fruits and vegetables just waiting to be picked up and purchased. I always wonder what kind of apple is good to use for different recipes, canning or just eating. You get the picture, right?

Baking, canning, snacking, etc. Did you grow up hearing that statement “An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away”? I know I did. I usually sent sliced apples in my daughters’ lunch boxes to school. We had a large bowl full of apples on the kitchen table mush of the year. They were washed and ready to snack on at any moment.

I wanted to write a post on the different apples I like to buy at the grocery store. Mark and I really wish we had fruit trees in our yard, but we don’t have them in our current home location. We had them for years. Life changes. See if you have eaten any of these.
